Career Highlights
- Human resource management

- Recruit for specialized industries

Career Summary
Businesses stay competitive by trying to hire only the best possible employees. The career of a recruiter is to search out potential employees and learn if they would be a perfect fit for their employer. A recruiter searches for prospective employees at colleges, universities, resume posting web sites and through networking connections.
A recruiter reviews resumes, evaluate potential in a candidate, interviews and sometimes tests prospective employees. When a good candidate seems especially promising, a recruiter works hard to promote the benefits of working for the company. They want to sell the company to that prospective employee.
Competition among top corporations for highly-qualified employees can be very intense. The career of a recruiter is a challenge. Depending on what company and industry you work in, you could be required to travel often or once in a while. Then again, if you work as a recruiter for an employment agency you may not travel at all.
