Career Summary
Pharmacy Technicians can also work in clinics, health departments and universities. They dispense drugs prescribed by physicians and other health practitioners and review prescriptions to validate accuracy. Often, they will compare what is being prescribed with patient’s records to avoid harmful drug interactions.
Many times Pharmacy Technicians will answer questions about prescription medications and over-the-counter drugs. In some cases, may actually prepare medications by weighing, measuring and mixing ingredients.
Additionally Pharmacy Technicians ensure that medicines are properly given out. In addition they keep records, order stock and check expiry dates of drugs.

Education
