Though brand development is by no means a new idea, consumers continually have more access to information and more choices than ever before. The result is that consumers have higher expectations, and the brand’s message must captivate the consumer immediately.
The development of a branding strategy always begin with identifying the brand’s (the business or service) core values. These are the most important qualities of the product / services.
Brand Representatives are also responsible for guiding the market research by setting the agenda and criteria such as product-benefit statement, pictures, product samples, and potential video clips. Once the research is complete it is the brand manager's job to analyze the data that's been collected then develop a marketing strategy.
Over all, successful brand development representatives go a long way towards making the name of a product or a service recognized to their target audiences, and thus increasing company sales.

Education
- Minimum of a degree in Marketing
- A Bachelors degree and 4 years of field experience.
- At some companies MBA is a requirement.
